Industry based learning
All students will be required to travel outside the Nelson region at various stages during the three years and will also be required to work shifts. Year Three of the degree in the transition to practice course, students are encouraged to work rostered and rotating shifts, which include weekends and nights.
Students are required to provide their own transport to practice placements and may be required to meet their own travel and accommodation costs.
Career opportunities and pathways
As a graduates you can work in many different areas of nursing, either in hospitals or in the community, e.g medical, surgical, emergency department, mental health, public health and rural health nursing.
